Internet Video Archive Joins The European Metadata Group, Enriching and Expanding Data Services
Internet Video Archive (IVA) has joined The European Metadata Group (TEMDG) as an associate member to enrich data services offered to both parties’ clients. IVA has been the leading provider of movie and TV trailers and clips to the industry for over 15 years and also offers extensive metadata and image catalogs. TEMDG services Pan-European clients with EPG and VOD data in a variety of languages and territories, which integrate seamlessly into web, mobile and set-top-box interfaces. Together, IVA and TEMDG will work to meet the unique needs of clients throughout the US and Europe while collaborating on new standards in entertainment metadata and promotional content that will benefit the industry as a whole.
Commenting on the new partnership, Christian Töpper, Chairman of the TEMDG management board, said: “I am delighted to welcome IVA to TEMDG The European Metadata Group. TEMDG members and the whole industry will benefit from IVA’s extensive experience of visual metadata content in a fast changing TV environment. IVA’s expertise will undoubtedly contribute to further enhancing the quality of TV metadata supply that TEMDG aims to bring to European operators and broadcasters.”
Rhodes Mason, President of IVA, adds “As demand for IVA’s international video catalog grows across Europe, being able to share insights to the needs of service providers in our respective markets will lead to innovative and cost effective solutions that support next generation search and discover experiences, ultimately benefiting consumers everywhere. We have known many of the individual members prior to the formation of the TEMDG but having a formal coalition to participate in is an exciting step towards a cohesive and competitive offering that spans the US and Europe.”
