More content online equals more video viewing online. A new study from eMarketer shows that online video viewing has passed the 50% mark in the United States with 158.1 million people watching online in 2011. That's an 8.6% uptick from 2010. The company is predicting continued growth in the coming years with 60% of the US population watching video online by 2015.

The same study also found that premium content was becoming increasingly popular with viewing of full-length TV shows and full-length movies on the rise.
Finally, the eMarketer study shows that that mobile video viewing is rising quickly and they predict that 40% of online video viewers will be on a mobile device by 2015.
